How long does the process take?

Please refer to the VA Enrollment Step by Step document for enrollment procedures. The total process from day one takes approximately 4 months. This time is variable and depends on VA workload. (ie: fall enrollment time for traditional schools will slow down process time significantly).

Breakdown of time estimates:

VONAPP and Certificate of Eligibility Letter - 3-4 weeks

Enrollment into the WFAP Program and VA processing- 90-120 business days (weekends and holidays do not count)

First payment - 45-60 business days after packet received by VA officials (weekends and holidays do not count)

Follow up payments - 30-45 business days (weekends and holidays do not count)
